What are Crowns?
The crown, also called a cover or a cap, provided by us is a hollow, artificial tooth used to cover a discolored or damaged tooth so that it restores its normal shape and size.
Our crown can make your teeth stronger and protect them from further damage. Also, it can improve the way your teeth look. A tooth that has been fixed with our crown looks and works very much like a natural tooth.
We, at Shri Aadinath dental clinic, offer you the best crown treatment for your teeth and at the most affordable prices.
 When is it needed?
If you have had a Root canal treatment, our crown will protect the restored tooth. We recommend a crown to protect a weak tooth from fracturing.
It may help you to cover a discolored or badly shaped tooth and improve your smile. In addition, the dental crown gives your tooth the strength, shape, size and help to improve the appearance of your teeth.
It may help to hold a bridge or denture firmly in place.
It protects other adjacent teeth from damage and further wear and tear.
We assure you the entire crown treatment at one place only and you no longer need to visit different dentists or laboratories for various services. We are well equipped with all kinds of instruments and crown preparation materials.
Treatment process weÂ
Treatment Process We Follow
·  Before a crown can be made, the tooth must be reduced in size so that the crown will fit over it properly. Initially, we give you a local anesthetic, and file down the tooth that needs to be restored.
·  After reducing the tooth, we will take an impression of the filed-down tooth and nearby teeth to provide an exact mold(shape) for your final crown.
·  Also, we determine the correct shade for the crown to match the color of your existing teeth. The crown is built using restorative material (material used for fillings) based on the impression. The final crown will be of the right shape, size and color for your mouth.
·  A temporary crown will be put in place to cover the prepared tooth while the permanent crown is being prepared. It is made from an impression of your teeth and it protects your tooth until the final crown is ready.
·  When the permanent crown is ready, the temporary crown is removed, and we check to ensure that the crown is the right fit, shape, colour and bite. If it is, the new crown is cemented into place.
Crowns are made from various types of materials. Depending
on which tooth needs a crown, we suggest a material, or combination of materials, that is right for you.
Metal crowns
They are made up of gold. They generally last a long time and won't break. However, gold color does not look natural Because of this, they are usually placed on back teeth.
Composite crowns
They look quite natural. They won't break but brushing may remove their polishing.
Ceramic (Porcelain) crowns
They look the most natural. They are more brittle(softer) than metal or composite ones. They are usually placed on the front teeth.
Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns
They look natural and are stronger than porcelain or composite crowns. They won't break as easily as porcelain or ceramic crowns.
