What are Braces/ Orthodontics?
Orthodontics is a field of dentistry that focuses mainly on correcting teeth and jaw irregularities and improving their function. This usually involves fitting an orthodontic appliance like braces to ensure the alignment of your teeth.

Invisible braces/ Clear aligners
Our invisible braces use a series of clear plastic aligners to move your teeth into position. They're removable and virtually invisible to those around you.
Traditional fixed metal braces
Traditional fixed metal braces we use are a combination of metal brackets and elastic bands to straighten teeth. However the brackets we offer are much smaller, less bulky and more comfortable to wear.
Ceramic braces
Ceramic braces are much like metal braces, except that they are made from ceramic material. Hence, they are teeth-colored and less visible. Also, they are smoother and stronger than the traditional braces.
Self-ligating braces
Self-ligating braces use brackets that have a sliding mechanism, which allows the wire to move in response to your teeth. This means that there is no need for the elastic bands used with traditional braces.
Lingual braces
Lingual braces are attached to the back surface of your teeth, hence provide aesthetic benefits. Also, another advantage of lingual braces is that there is less risk of decalcification (loss of calcium from teeth) because the inside surface of your teeth does not lose calcium easily.

No, orthodontic treatment doesn't hurt, although at various stages of your treatment you may experience some discomfort like when you have your braces tightened or you get next set of aligners. This discomfort can be treated with general pain relievers.
Absolutely Yes! In fact, it is suggested that every child between the ages of 7 and 11 should have orthodontic checkup as their teeth and jaws are still developing. This may ensure treatment at initial level to avoid orthodontic problems later.
Yes, we recommend you continue to see your dentist for regular checkups while wearing braces. This will help to ensure your teeth remain clean and healthy during treatment.
Braces may temporarily affect your speech for a day or two. However, as your tongue gets used to having aligners in your mouth, any hindrance(obstruction) with your speech will disappear.
